The media used to create this image were: 3D Studio Max and Adobe Photoshop. This is a close up view of rhodopsin (see previous image). In a binding pocket between helices 3 to 7, on the 7th helix, the chromophore-retinal-is attached to opsin. Retinal is an aldehyde of Vitamin A.
