Surgical Instrument: Needle Driver

Adobe Illustrator and
Adobe InDesign.
This is an illustration of the surgical instrument Needle
Driver. It is commonly used by the surgeon to stabilize the needle as
he/she uses it to reconnect opened tissues. The purpose of this illustration was to show the details of the "mouth" of the
instrument in the 3/4 perspective view. I used the actual
instrument and drew a sketch from it. Next, I scanned it in the
computer and opened the illustration in Adobe Illustrator. Then, I used the pen tool to create a pen and ink digital illustration of the instrument.
